ONYRMRK Spring Summer
Design, Co-Art Direction
2021

ONYRMRK’s Spring/Summer 2021 was designed amidst the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic so we sought to explore how optimism can be achieved through dress, in order to find peace in a time of confusion and restlessness. Optimism can be perceived as a relief or release so by playing with color, silhouettes, and fabrics we began to define optimism for ourselves through our understanding of “lightness” or “weightlessness”. We explored drape and structure using fabrics such as 10oz denim, cotton pripera, and cotton batiste to achieve ease in each garment, exploring how volume effects the drape on the body.
